What’s new in 2025
Beginning March 1st, we will be making some changes to our pricing structure. To maximize your pet’s service and provide the best possible experience we can, we have decided to introduce a sliding scale for our services based on your pet's behavior and coat quality.
What Does That Mean?
Our prices have always been advertised at starting prices. That means that they are subject to change based on certain factors, mainly coat length/quality, and behavior.
Before now, we have not been vigilant in charging appropriately for the additional time and skill needed for certain pets. That means that the groomers taking care of those special needs pets are not being paid proportionately for the work they are doing.
As a small business employer, I believe in making sure the wonderful staff I employ are compensated properly. Moving forward, our prices will reflect the high standards of the quality of service we try our best to provide.
What To Expect
If your pet's service price is going to go up, you will receive a text message and/or an email stating the new price and the reason for the change. You can always reach out with questions, comments, or suggestions.
Reasons your pet's price may change include but are not limited to:
You want to keep your pet's coat long/full, which requires longer bathing, drying, and hair cut time than the average pet of the same size and coat type.
The pet is a repeat offender with biting or other negative behaviors while being groomed, which requires more time and skill to complete the service.
The pet's coat is matted at drop off and requires extra time to remove the matting (brushing or shaving)
The pet's coat is soiled to the point that it requires multiple baths.
Price changes are not permanent. For example, if a client is normally charged more to groom their shih tzu because it is kept in a full coat, but then decides to shave it for the summer, the price will drop while the pet is kept short. If a pet who is a notorious biter becomes more cooperative, then the price will be adjusted for the good behavior. If a client paid $100 to shave their matted pet then scheduled regular appointments to avoid matting, the price will change accordingly.
We are committed to providing the absolute best experience for your pets. In order to do that, we have to make sure we are charging appropriately to ensure that our lights stay on, the warm water stays flowing, and the music keeps playing. We want to be here for years to come for our extended Super Star family!
